Yavez Anthonio Is Grateful His Mom Is His Best Friend

Bred in Amsterdam and now growing as a multidisciplinary creative in New York, Yavez Anthonio is dedicated to reaching his fullest potential and making both himself and his family back home proud. A storyteller whose visuals bring a sense of nostalgia, Yavez shares with us his inspiration and influence that has ultimately brought forth a successful journey with its own set of (worthy) risks and sacrifices.

Yavez has worked with brands including Nike, Adidas, Tommy Jeans, and GAP, and artists Joyce Wrice, COMMON, Maria Isabel, amongst others. You can learn more about Yavez and his work here (highly recommend you to explore).

Having moved to the city not long before the pandemic hit in 2020, we discuss lessons learned, as well as in regards to his initial pivotal move to London where his independent journey began and he approached questioning whether or not he should give up.

This conversation also touches on realizations from solitude, advice for those wanting to move to another country, stories that have yet to be told, aspiring to shift his focus of work, the process in approaching new projects, and much more goodness!
